Volkswagen Eos

EPA MPG: NA

CR's Take
The Eos can be considered the successor to the Volkswagen Cabrio. This Jetta-based four-seater is equipped with a folding metal hard top that offers a sunroof setting when the hard top is closed. Similarities to the Jetta should include good interior fit and finish as well as comfortable seats. Head-protecting curtain air bags are housed in the doors. Power comes from either a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.2-liter V6. A manual transmission is standard, with Volkswagen's impressive sequential-shift DSG transmission optional. IIHS crash-test results are impressive.
