What Owners Say

Squeaks or rattles

Anonymous, MA (2023 Tesla Model S Long Range Electric)

Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

What Owners Say

Other body problem

""In 50 years of driving cars with cloth and leather seats, I have never had a problem with the upholstery. But the "vegan leather" in the Tesla S developed a hole in the driver's seat in first four months of ownership. It is possible that my pants suspenders caused the hole--but I have been wearing them for decades without issue. Tesla alleged that the hole was my fault, and charged me about $700 to install new upholstery. My subsequent remedy to prevent future problems is a wood bead seat cushion. Ugly, but effective. Tesla should use thicker and or tougher upholstery material.""
