With impressive agility, decent fuel economy, standard all-wheel drive, and an affordable price, the base version of the Subaru Legacy has a lot going for it. However, the snug interior limits its appeal as a family car. It also loses major points for tricky handling in emergency maneuvers. Electronic stability control does help this somewhat however.
