CR's Take
This roomy sedan, like its Ford Five Hundred twin, emphasizes comfort and good ergonomics. The Montego's elevated seating position provides good outward vision and cabin access. The rear seat is immense. Power comes from an overtaxed and unpolished 3.0-liter V6 engine. The AWD model accelerates sluggishly from rest. Handling is agile, especially considering the Montego's size. The ride is comfortable. Side- and curtain air bags are standard for 2007.
