""After leaving the car for a couple of days or more on 4 separate occasions, the 12V battery was completely dead, and the car wouldn't unlock let alone start. This despite the EV battery having tons of charge on all occasions. The EV is supposed to charge the 12V when the latter is low (there's even an undocumented yellow light on top of the dash to tell you it's doing so), but it apparently didn't. One of the times I brought it to the dealer, they told me there were 2 other Kia EVs (EV6s I believe) with the same problem. They replaced the 12V battery and that didn't fix it. They updated the software and that didn't fix it either. They finally discovered (as I had seen mentioned on some Kia online forums) that PSE&G our electric supplier was pinging the car through the KIA Connect service every 30 minutes (and perhaps much more often according to some forums) because we had signed up for off-peak charging rates through notify.ev.energy (formerly through mychargeconnect.com). I believe when I signed up for that off-peak rate, I agreed to let the latter companies ping my car to see if/when it was charging. The Kia dealer (Bridgewater NJ) said that's what was draining the battery so much. They disconnected my car from Kia Connect, and the problem hasn't happened since. It's only been about 6 weeks since they did that though, so time will tell. I've changed the Kia Connect password so that those PSEG partners can't ping the car even if I reenroll. Feel free to follow up at later on to see if it still holds true. That still doesn't answer why the EV battery didn't keep the 12V charged.""

"Struts in front had to be replaced and shocks in the rear were leaking. Also found out that rattling in back from tailgate can be resolved by adjusting tiny screws in the tailgate that periodically loosen and require adjusting/futzing with."
