Introduction
The Jaguar XK8 is the latest in a long tradition of Jaguar coupes and convertibles. The outgoing car dates back to 1997; the V8 and five-speed automatic are about as smooth as they get. Handling is not designed to be as agile as that of a sports car, but it is athletic enough with precise, responsive steering. The supple, controlled ride is gracious, befitting the marque. The cabin is furnished with plenty of wood and aromatic leather, and two children can fit in the small rear seats. The redesigned model debuts this spring.
