CR's Take

The Q70 is very quick and handles responsively. Its punchy 330-hp, 3.7-liter V6 and smooth seven-speed automatic return decent fuel economy of 21 mpg overall. A 420-hp V8 and a V6 hybrid are also available. However, the transition between electric and gas mode in the Hybrid is too abrupt. Handling is fairly agile, and the ride is firm yet compliant. The car is quiet but not super-hushed, due to some engine noise at high revs. Interior quality is top-notch, and the rear seat is roomy. The controls are easy to use. An optional blind-spot intervention system can keep the car in its lane by selectively using the brakes. A long wheelbase L version is new for 2015.
