CR's Take
The Acadia is one of GM's three-row SUVs that can seat seven or eight passengers. It uses the same 3.6-liter, V6 engine as the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse, which makes 288 hp. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic, combining to make a smooth and refined powertrain, although it sometimes hesitates to downshift when needed. The Acadia is available with front- or all-wheel drive. In our tests of the Traverse we found the ride comfortable, handling responsive, and the interior quiet. Fit and finish is very good. The third-row seats are roomy enough to accommodate adults.
