CR's Take
The Acadia is one of four large, car-based SUVs from General Motors that have three rows of seats and can seat seven or eight passengers. It uses a 288-hp, 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic, combining to make a smooth and refined powertrain, although it hesitates to downshift when needed. The Acadia is available with front- or all-wheel drive. The ride is comfortable, the handling is responsive, and the interior is quiet. The third-row seats are roomy enough to accommodate adults.
