What Owners Say

Antilock braking system (ABS)

"I dont know much about vehicles and the repair shop I took my car to could not re-create this problem so they couldnt diagnose why/how this happened On my way to work one morning I was making a right hand turn when what felt like either my power steering went out or my brakes froze. I was turning the wheel as hard as I could, but my tires were barely turning, so my arc was really wide. Thank goodness there wasnt a car in the lane next to me. This happened again, same day same trip, at another turn. I had my car towed to the mechanics. They couldnt re-create this issue so they took $420 from me and gave me back my car, unfixed."

What Owners Say

Other electrical system problem

"Threetimes in the last year, my vehicle has had what seemed like a complete electrical failure. Im only guessing because the two maintenance shops that I took the car to could not re-create the problem so they were unable to diagnose anything for me. My dashboard was completely blank. I couldnt see my speed or adjust my lights or roll down the windows or turn off the radio that had been on when I turned the car off. The windshield wiper didnt work and neither did my turn signal. I was able to drive the car, albeit unsafely. The next day, the electrical seemed to be working OK. I let the car sit for a couple days and then the battery died. After I had the battery jumped, the car seemed to work fine. Until it happened again, two months later. It happened a third time for a much shorter period, 5 minutes."
