Road Test

The Chevrolet Avalanche is a full-sized crew-cab pickup with an innovative folding partition GM calls a "midgate". This allows the extension the truck's bed into its cab. With an available full-time four-wheel drive system, the Avalanche did very well in our testing. It's quiet, rides comfortably and the Chevy's optional rearview camera system greatly improves outward visibility to the rear.
